We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing team.
Position Summary
The Staff Accountant will support the daily operations of the accounting department by performing general accounting duties, maintaining financial records, and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting. This role is essential to maintaining the fiscal health of Fieldcrest Manor and supporting compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
Assist with preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses for management.
Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and other balance sheet accounts.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies.
Support annual audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to departmental efficiency.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
1–3 years of accounting experience (internships included).
Strong understanding of GAAP and standard accounting principles.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Preferred:
Experience in [industry, e.g., healthcare, real estate, hospitality—customizable].
Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or similar).
Strong communication and organizational skills.
